A. Interfaith of The Woodlands' purpose is to provide support programs for
individuals and families in crisis. Financial assistance for rent, mortgage,
utilities, gasoline, prescription drug assistance, emergency shelter, food,
family and individual counseling, job training, and child care are the many
areas that Interfaith provides assistance for individuals in need. Interfaith
strives to bring people together to build a more loving and caring community
through service.
Q. Who can receive assistance from Interfaith of The Woodlands?
A. Any qualifying individual who lives in The Woodlands and South Montgomery County
within the zip codes of 77380-77386 can receive assistance from Interfaith. All
social services are free of charge.
Q. Where can I get The Woodlands Directory?
A. A copy of the Directory is available to all residents of The Woodlands and is
delivered once a year. New residents within The Woodlands will be visited by our
resident data department shortly after arriving. They will receive a copy of the
directory along with other helpful information about Interfaith and our
community. Directories may also be obtained by visiting our administrative
offices at 4242 Woodrush Drive. A donation of $6.00 is appreciated to help
support our programs.
Q. Does Interfaith of The Woodlands charge for borrowing wheelchairs and walkers?
A. No. Interfaith routinely receives donations of certain medical equipment like
wheelchairs and walkers. As a means of providing a special service to the
community, we make them available at no charge to those who might need to use
them.
Q. What are your sources of funding?
A. Interfaith of The Woodlands finances through individual contributions, corporate
and business donations, and grants.
Q. Can my financial contribution to Interfaith be tax
deductible?
A. Yes. Interfaith of The Woodlands is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and
financial contributions may be deductible for federal income tax purposes.
